Mackay Marine Consultants approached Cross Digital to create a solution to help improve some of their internal processes that were paper based. They wanted to modernise their structure to bring their business up to date with current technology, so that’s what we did! In the end we decided the best course of action was a Hybrid APP

The APP was created using a Flutter for the front-end and WordPress for the back-end. The WordPress backend allowed us to use some plugins to simplify the internal process and generate the end result. The APP allows the team to walk around a vessel and complete their surveys, then generate a PDF to send to the client and or the insurance provider.

UI/UX was vital in this project. The front-end needed to be very simple and user friendly, the back-end while complex still needed to be user friendly enough that any of the team can login and make changes where needed. The back-end allows for content to be pushed straight to the app with the click of a button and the way it is structured eliminates the possibility of human error.

This is an ongoing project due for completion before the end of 2024.
